ON STAGE AND OFF
DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY AT BENEFIT GALA FOR
THE JOYCE THEATER AND JOYCE SOHO, APRIL 26
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, DanceBrazil, Momix, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet

After spending the year presenting the greatest in dance to New York audiences, The Joyce Theater and Joyce SoHo are ensuring the same for next year with a benefit night on April 26 featuring a gala performance followed by dinner and dancing at Capitale. The evening begins with champagne at the theater prior to the 7pm show.
The one-of-a-kind line-up of dancers and choreographers attests to the striking range of dance that defines The Joyce–the most danced-upon stage in the world–with performances by members of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, DanceBrazil, Momix, New York City Ballet and San Francisco Ballet.
Following the performance, a bus will take patrons to Capitale at 130 Bowery for a night of dinner and dancing. The gala honors James H. Herbert, II, President and CEO, First Republic Bank; Fe Saracino-Fendi and L. Martin Gibbs are the event’s Honorary Vice Chairs.
Proceeds for the evening will benefit the Joyce Theater Foundation, which, in addition to presenting performances by world-renowned choreographers and dancers, at both The Joyce Theater and Joyce SoHo, provides numerous education programs to increase universal appreciation of the art form. Their dance education program reaches over 2,000 children and teachers from the New York City Public school system through performances, in-school programs and artist residencies.
The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue at 19th Street and Capitale is located at 130 Bowery at Grand Street.
Tickets for the evening are $25,000 (Underwriter); tables are $10,000, $7,500 and $5,000; individual tickets that include the dinner at Capitale range from $1,000 to $500 and tickets to the performance only are $50. Reservations can be made by calling Marie-Louise Stegall at 212-691-9740.
